Kindness Is Key

Before you read any farther I want you to think of a time where you feel your kind soul was taken for weakness.
Being kind is something I never thought could be spun in a negative way. Choosing to be a kind hearted person makes me personally feel better about myself and how I go about my days. Figuring out who you are as a person and how you want to attack life, takes a lot of time and different experiences.
(Ps I do not have it all figured out, just speaking on what I feel like I know)
I have noticed kindness is easily mistaken for weakness and acceptance. Just because you choose to react in silence does not necessarily mean you forgive or forget. Just because you are still nice to a person who clearly takes advantage of your kindness does not mean you are a push over or naive. It means you are above them and aware of whats going on, but you do not need to stoop to their level. You remain acting within your morals and values because you are too good to step out of them.
My mom raised me with these words "kill them with kindness" & "when they go low you go high." Since middle school until now she has said those phrases over and over whenever I need advice about a situation. So when someone is mistaking you for being ignorant just because you stay silent or being naive just because you're nice, you should feel bad for them. Genuinely feel terrible for them. The fact they cannot accept a warm hearted human in their life says a lot about how they were raised or how they have been treated in the past.
Weakness is far from kindness. Weakness is laziness, it is impatience, and it is unwillingness to learn new things. Being a weak person has nothing to do with having a good soul. If you radiate positive vibes don't worry about peoples assumptions.
I stand by the statement "treat people the way you want to be treated." If you are a negative person, expect your energy to be matched. If you are full of love and light, I hope you receive that in return.

Love this, some of my favorite quotes! So proud of you. Can't wait to read your next blog! xo
